Though this wood setting is absolutely adorable, it’s the texture on Songbird that truly steals the show for me. The intricate layering of the stitches catch the light in a way that is hard to describe. These lovely sage hues have the subtle satin sheen that DMC embroidery floss is known for world round.
Songbird was stitched using a gridwork technique called battlement couching. Multiple layers of strands of floss are tacked down in exact order to create a woven pattern similar to feathers.

CARE
To keep your jewelry looking its best, the wood setting can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Avoid wiping the fabric or embroidery itself. If dust, lint, or pet hair accumulate, pat gently with a piece of masking tape to remove or carefully use a pair of tweezers. Keep dry.
HANDCRAFTED
Each piece is lovingly made one stitch at a time. No two are exactly alike, even those with repeated designs. Variations in color and shape are normal and part of the charm of handmade goods.
MATERIALS
I use a combination of new, vintage, antique, and reclaimed materials across my work. Please check photos and descriptions of items carefully before purchasing. Features some might think of as “imperfections” will be noted whenever possible.
